On December 06, 2025, Sharon Lodge presented the Community Builder’s Award to Michael Paris on behalf of the Grand Lodge of Virginia – the oldest independent Masonic Grand Lodge in the United States.  Mr. Paris is noted for his decades of service to the McLean community and Fairfax County as a local volunteer firefighter and a good neighbor.  He is known throughout the community for his cheerfulness and readiness to help whenever he can.  During his long tenure as a volunteer firefighter, Mike saved a family from a house fire in the early 1990s and he has been Santa’s driver in McLean for more than 30 years.  His good character and personal commitments to charity and service continue to contribute to the future of McLean and are much appreciated by the lodge and its members.
