----------------------------------------------------- I Said A Prayer For You Today I said a prayer for you today and know that God must have heard: I felt the answer in my heart although He spoke not a word. I didn't ask for wealth or fame ( I knew you wouldn't mind): I asked for priceless treasures rare of a more lasting kind. I prayed that He'd be near you at the start of each new day . To grant you health and blessings fair and friends to share your way. I asked for happiness for you in all things great and small, but that you'd know His loving care I prayed the most of all.

GREETINGS FROM THE EAST
this is a welcome to all those who see our homepage.

We truly hope that you will enjoy the information we have provided for your review and that you will continue to search for more.

Our lodge is a friendly lodge; and we are always interested in receiving new candidates, however our charter requires that all worthy candidates must come of their own free will, and must be invited to membership once their application has been given consideration, and a vote taken, by our regular Master Masons at work in the Lodge.

Some are curious about what we do because they've heard many rumors, but are not sure about what they've heard. We hope that much of what you can learn from these pages will assist in clarifying what we do. We are a fraternity based on the belief in an all seeing, all powerful God. We dedicate ourselves to many community service endeavors and we are committed to the assistance of widows and orphans wherever disbursed.

While it is true that we do preserve "the secret rituals" of ancient Freemasonry based upon the building of the temple under King Soloman, none of what we adhere to is in any way contrary to the moral upbringing of our citizens, or to God's ( universal) moral law.

If you have questions, you may call me at any time... Dwight Newton,PM, current Worshipful Master, Sharon Lodge NO.182 (410-795-5125),or Senior Warden, Dennis Jensen,PM, ( 410-833-2804).

TRESTLEBOARD

May and June 2008,

Brethern,

Where has the time gone? May is here and summer is around the corner. We will be visiting Harrisburg Lodge #629 for our annual brotherhood visit on May 1, 2008. If you'd like to go with us, please let me know right away so we can arrange for transportation.

Our next regular meeting in May will be on May 21,2008. We are excited to report that Brother Tzviel Blankchtein and Brother Randall Stockett will be present to stand for proficiency examination on their first degree catecism. If they are found worthy they will receive their second degree that night as well. It is exciting , and encouraging to have these excellnt brothers in our lodge.

Be informed that the Grand Lodge of Ancient, Free and Accepted masons of Maryland will meet in the second Semi-Annual Communications at the Grand Lodge Building on Saturday May 17,2008. The time is 10:00 AM. Also, on May 18, 2008 the Grand Lodge Religious Service will be held. That will be at 10:00 AM in the Bonnie Blink Building.

Believe it or not, we are already up to June, and we'll only have one more meeting before we break for the summer. But please mark the date of June 4, 2008 on your Masonic meetings calendar. Our Lodge will open very briefly for normal business that night at 7:00 PM, and then the brothers will all adjourn to join our family and friends in a great social night of eating strawberries and ice cream. This is a fun event we've repeated for many years. You difinitely won't want to miss this; and the fellowship and opportunity to catch up and chatter is exciting !

Let me close by saying that Kathy and I hope you all have a safe and happy summer. I'll be looking to see you in September.

God bless our troops and God bless America !

Please come and be with us. We enjoy your fellowship. Also, I ask that you please keep the men and women of our armed services in your prayers. We wish them a safe return to the U.S.A. and their familes after their tour of duty... and please keep our brother shut-ins and sick brethern in your thoughts and prayers as well. You can help us by reporting any needs in this regard that you may be aware of to Brother Ollie Strong. God bless you, and God bless America !

sincerely and Fraternally

Dwight Newton,PM,

Worshipful Master

In Memoriam If I should ever leave you whom I love To go along the silent way Grieve not Nor speak of me with tears But laugh and talk as if I were beside you there. And when you hear a song or see abird I loved please do not let the thought of me be sad. For I am loving you just as I always have. You were so good to me. There are so many things I wanted still to do. So many things to say to you. Remember that I did not fear. It was just leaving you that was so hard to face. We cannot see beyond, But this I know ... I love you so.

Sick and shut in

Please keep all fellow brothers who are sick in your prayers. A call from a brother is great medicine.

Masonic Creed
I, as a freemason, believe in the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of Man. I will do unto others as I would have them do unto me. I pledge my loyalty to the government of the United States of America, a government of the people, by the people, and for the people and will not contenance disloyalty on the part of others. Freemasonry is founded upon these principals, and I will use my utmost effort to preserve them for posterity. So mote it be!
